Our culture has little understanding of the purpose of myth or the role of the myth-maker. Myths are not for believing or disbelieving. They are for using. If a myth or metaphor works in revamping our deepest values, it is truer than the evening news or the textbook fact. Myth, poetry, art and music are truths of a different dimension - sustenance and regeneration for the tired spirit. The human brain learns best by story, by game, by a framework of meaning.

Presented within these electronic pages is an opportunity for you to become actively engaged in an emerging planetary adventure in consciousness. It is an adventure that gifts you with an astrologically-determined, spiritual birthright integrating some of humanity’s most ancient and revered wisdom teachings, teachings rooted in, but not limited to, a rich mythological tradition of the Americas known broadly as the myth of Feathered Serpent, Quetzalcoatl. It is a birthright accessed primarily through contemplative, inner work:

"To be Quetzalcoatl or Kukulcan is to know the seven forces (chakras) that govern our body - not only know them but also use them and understand their intimate relationship with natural and cosmic laws. We must comprehend the long and short cycles and the solar laws that sustain our lives. We must know how to die, and how to be born.

" The Secrets of Mayan Science/Religion”, Hunbatz Men

In presenting this material, I am mindful of the life-work of the late Joseph Campbell, considered by many to be the planet's foremost mythologist. In his widely acclaimed book (and video series), The Power of Myth, Campbell defines four major functions of myth:

The first function of myth is
mystical "Myth opens the world to the dimension of mystery, to the realization of the mystery that underlies all forms. If you lose that, you don't have a mythology. If mystery is manifest, throughout things, the universe becomes, as it were, a holy picture. You are always addressing the transcendent mystery through the conditions of your actual world."

The second function of myth is
cosmological "....the dimension with which science is concerned -- showing you what the shape of the universe is, but showing it in such a way that the mystery again comes through."

Campbell explains that a third function of myth is
sociological: "supporting and validating a certain social order."

Fourthly, we have the pedagogical function of myth: " to live a human life under any circumstances." In other words, how to get along to assure social survival.

It is with these four functions of myth firmly in mind that I offer this website and its many resources to you. May it help you live a truly human life!

This website is primarily about empowering individuals to live in deep resonance and respect for the Earth as our common, sacred, and multi-dimensional, home.

1) EARTH CHILD EMERGENCE helps you understand the historical dimension of what is essentially a planetary phenomenon. It relates the story of my discovery of The Lightning Path as a path of mythic regeneration -- a synthesis of astrology, I Ching, the chakra system, and the Mayan Sacred Calendar (tzolkin). Each of these symbol systems has been utilized by humanity for millennia, but to my knowledge, they have never been revealed as an integrated working unit until now.

THE LIGHTNING PATH. Here you will learn about the synthesis of symbolic systems at the core of the Lightning Path. It makes apparent some of the path’s most important features as a quest for personal transformation through mythological attunement. My focus here is on introducing you to your own Lightning Path birthright made accessible via The Book of Electrum which enables you to astrologically determine your “temple-of-birth” within the expansive context of a mythological temple-of-temples. Additionally, you will be able to locate past or future events within the expansive chronological context of The Lightning Path and thus to give added meaning to those events. Chronological referencing is also a feature aspect of The Lightning Path Timebeam which introduces my discovery of the natural resonance that exists between ongoing lunations and the orbit of planet Uranus. The timebeam concept results in a mapping of lunations onto the four seasons orbit of Uranus, seen as a timeline wherein groups of thirteen Moon cycles are represented as single units. Each unit is designated as a temple of the imagination related to the tzolkin and is named according to the 7th Moon of the group. All resources linked to the timebeam are meant to draw your attention to possible synchronistic relationships between events of a given Moon cycle and the corresponding Lightning Path symbolism for that Moon. Any and all synchronicities found in this way can aid you in further exploration and revelation of your mythological birthright.
